Happy New Year With Star Stampz Digi

By | 12/15/2020

Today the card that I am sharing is featuring a brand new release stamp from Star Stampz!

You can see my card and the card created by a second design team member at the Star Stampz Challenge Blog.  This month’s challenge theme is Anything Goes and we would love to have you create something and share it on our blog!

This is a digital image of a boy and I decided that it would make a perfect card to wish someone a Happy New Year!

My goal was to do a foiling technique on the card, but then I found this fabulous 6 x 6″ patterned paper that had lovely colors and foil details.  It seemed like the perfect celebration paper.

I colored my image in shades of blue because I always think of New Year’s Eve as being blue, silver and gold.

I also fussy cut the image that I colored and layered it on top of a second image that I printed right onto the patterned paper using foam tape.

My final touch was to add some Duck Egg Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops and a sentiment from my stash.

I find using colors for the hair that aren’t actually natural hair colors to be a bit freeing when coloring in hair.  Hair is the one thing that I still feel like I need to practice a whole lot more.  It never turns out quite  how I envision it!  I’m a work in progress…what can I say?!

Copic Combinations:

Skin: E 11, 50, 04

Hair: B 79, 29, 24, 21

Clothes: B 16, 14, 12, 01
