This is our first Christmas in Florida! We have the house all decorated inside and out. I have very traditional Christmas decorations and it has been fun to see what other people are decorating with. Their themes are more tropical than mine!
I decided to make a fun home décor project using the Christmas at the Beach digital stamp from Kinda Cute by Patricia!
I had created a digital image for this copper plate for Thanksgiving and today I finally got around to creating a Christmas version to pop on the plate. I’ll make a Valentine’s Day one in mid-January.
I used red and green for her swimsuit and towel under the tree and lots of yellow for the stars. I also tried to get a lot of texture on the sand by using stippling. I always like the detail that adds to the sand.
I had this copper plate in my stash forever. I have no idea where I got it from! I have a little plate stand that I got in a dollar bin at Michael’s. I have it sitting on our little Duraflame heater that looks like a real wood stove with logs and a flame. It’s all fake and the heater itself doesn’t get hot, but it has been warming up our house the last few mornings. It has gotten down into the 40’s here in Florida for the last week or so!
