This week’s Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge is a Winter Theme!!
I just couldn’t resist pulling out the Welcome Winter stamp set and playing with the little squirrel image. I think it is one of those super fun little images tucked in this stamp set.
I also decided that I wanted to create a very clean and simple card. I LOVE CAS cards, but they are not my forte to make.
Mostly because all the white space feels like it needs to be filled!
I love this stamp set! It has really fun sentiments. I paired it with a small stitched square die that I have from MFT stamps. It actually cuts out the square and leaves the stitching on the outside of the square.
It’s a small square so it needs a smaller image. These little squirrels seemed perfect!!
I added a little spun sugar and tumbled glass distress oxide in and some gold sparkle pen to the background. The top panel and the squirrels are popped up on foam tape to add some dimension.
I did make my squirrels brown. My husband thinks they should be gray. I disagree. He said they are called gray squirrels and all the squirrels on Long Island are gray. I did an internet search for squirrel images and they all looked red!
I still think they are adorable! This little stamped image makes me happy!
Have a fabulous day!
