I know, I know! More plaid, you say?! What’s up with that?
I’m just loving the plaids all of the sudden. The new fall and holiday 6 x 6″ paper stacks are coming out with these fabulous plaids. Plus I created one with markers that you can see here, and I created one with alcohol inks which I hope to share in a day or two. I’m just going plaid crazy! I also created a quick and easy fall card with the Altenew Modern Deer on plaid that you can see here if you missed it.
Maybe because it is finally sweater weather here and I pulled out my flannel shirts and they are fabulous plaids. I’m ready for my flannels.
Today, I created a cute little card with a plaid from LDRS Creative and a **freebie** stamp set from My Favorite Things stamps. MFT Stamps is one of my favorite places to order from because they are generous to their customers and their stuff is great. They had a new release at the beginning of October and every order got a free stamp set which I’m using on this card. Then if you spend over $60, they send you a free die and they are fun and fabulous dies. Plus for an order over $75, I got free shipping. I think free shipping is a HUGE savings. Then if you spend over $100, you get a code that saves you 10%. So free shipping, free stamp set, free die and minus 10%. This is a no brainer for me. Plus…Wednesday is Blitz Day where they put specific things on sale. Gotta love it!
Here is my card:
So the stamp set which included the sentiment was my October Freebie from MFT Stamps. Cute little guy, right?
I used my Altenew Artist markers to color him in and added a highlight on his nose with a white gel pen. The snowflakes are stamped in Silver Shimmer Delicata Metallic Ink. (The pink shimmer version of that ink is ridiculously pretty!) The red card stock is Apple Red from Altenew and it is one of my faves. The plaid is from LDRS Creative Holly Jolly Christmas.
The stamped image is die cut with the Wonky Circle Stax Die set from MFT stamps.
If you go to MFT stamps, check out their STAX die sets of shapes. You can get just plain shapes, stitched shapes, wonky stitched shapes, in and out stitched shapes and scallops…I love these sets. I consider the STAX shapes dies to be a staple in my die cut collection. I used them constantly. They have completely replaced all of my punches.
You should also check out their 6 x6″ paper stacks. I LOVE the black and white set. I’m on my second package!
If you love shaker cards, this company is also a shaker card supply go to company. In fact, the freebie die I got in October was for shaker card circle die cutting! (I did say that they send great freebies if you place a qualifying order!)
I’m entering this card in two challenges, just for fun:
The MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #408
and the Stamp, Ink, Paper Plaid Challenge:
