Using A Digital Stamp Set To Create A Water Scene

My husband is more than just an avid fisherman.  He writes books about it, gives talks about it and makes videos about it.  I felt that required that I select at least one digital stamp that involved fish in some way! I selected the Fish Set from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  I used my Copics to color… Read More »

Creating a Quirky Card With Stamping Bella Stamps

I think you can only create quirkly cards with Stamping Bella Stamps!  I recently discovered this stamp company and I’m loving the humor in their stamps and sentiments.   The stamp set that I used is from the Oddball Collection!  Gotta love it! For my layout, I’m using this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge which you will find… Read More »

Create A Quick Picnic Themed Card With A Card Sketch Challenge

Today’s card is a quick and easy card with a Picnic Theme and I used this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to create my layout. I’ve also used Catherine Pooler’s brand new A Tisket, A Tasket 6 x 6″ patterned paper along with a stamp set from Woodware Craft Collection called Beetle Flower.  This is my very first… Read More »

The Papercrafting Project I’m Most Enjoying Right Now!

I’ve never considered myself a hoarder…except with craft supplies. It’s ridiculous, really.  I have some supplies I’ve had since the 80’s!  Seriously!! When the quarantine hit, I found myself separated from my craft stash.  It was in New York and I was in Florida celebrating being newly retired.  I had some basic supplies and had plenty to keep… Read More »

Take A Virtual Workshop To Craft With Friends

Or craft with complete strangers!  I signed up for a couple of Altenew’s Virtual Workshops just for the fun of actually interacting with someone other than my husband.  We’ve been blissfully married for 35 years, but sometimes I like to spend some time with other crafty peeps.  Just hearing other crafters chatter while you create a card feels… Read More »

Exploring Watercolor Mediums: Liquid Watercolor Inks

There are a number of liquid watercolor inks on the market today.  I’ve mostly used the watercolor brush markers and I quite like creating with them.  Altenew just came out with a new set this week.  It’s now on my wishlist! Day 3 of Altenew’s Elements of Watercoloring Mediums, we explored using the watercolor brush marker liquid ink… Read More »

Exploring Watercolor Mediums: Student Grade Paint Pan Sets

Watercolor paint sets wildly in price and types.  I’m guessing that the gold standard is Daniel Smith paints in the tubes.  Those are decadently expensive and that’s what Debby Hughes uses!  She’s a master watercolorist and she’s amazing. For day 2 of the Altenew Exploring Watercolor Mediums class, we used the student grade pan set from Altenew.  This… Read More »

Create A Quick Birthday Card With A Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge

Have you ever played along with a Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge? This week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge and it’s a good one!  I chose the top row.  I used the masculine birthday theme with a watercolor background. I’m still playing with Catherine Pooler’s Let’s Party release and her new One Plus One release comes out today!! … Read More »
