Challenge YOUrself July Scrapbook Challenge

The new Challenge YOUrself July scrapbook challenge is now live!

I thought this was a fun challenge! I pulled out an old photo of myself that a student snapped many many years ago. I was sitting at my desk after school grading papers and I had a bunch of my favorite dorks hanging out in my classroom. One of them snapped a photo and I decided that would be my “Then” picture. My “Now” picture is from a few days ago. I snapped a selfie of myself playing at my craft desk now that I’m retired. Still having fun~

I was playing with the Celebrate Together Scrapbook Workshop Kit from Stampin’ Up! I purchased the entire Celebratory Sips Suite. I added on the Celebrate Together Scrapbook Workshop Kit and the coordinating stamp set. I had 2 sets of DSP to play with and two stamp sets that coordinate with all of this fun paper.

I used the Strawberry Slush two tone card stock that came in the scrapbook kit to create my focal square and to back my photos and decorations.

I also pulled out the Just a Note stamp and die bundle that Stampin’ Up! just released in July. I created the little then and now arrows on the Pretty in Pink card stock using the tiniest alphabet set I own. This was a Stampin’ Up! set released at least 10 years ago!! It also allowed me to add journaling lines to the two pull out tags I made to slide under my photos. This allows me to have a pretty tab details and it hides the journaling.

Journaling is not always the prettiest part of your scrapbook layout!

I used 4 different alphabet stamps on this layout. I love having a variety of fonts, typefaces, and sizes to use to create titles and subtitles for my scrapbook layouts. I’ve been collecting alpha stamp and die sets for over 30 years. I LOVE them!

Yesterday, I created a coordinating layout for this one.

I created this page to do a then and now photo of the rest of my family! I will use the little squares on top for the then photos and the 3 x 4″ ones for the now photos. I’m going to include my daughter’s husband and daughter in her now photo as well.

The Celebrate Together and Celebratory Sips sets are just perfect for crafting summer layouts. Once I made these two pages, I just kept going. Come back each day of this week to see the other 6 double page layouts that I’ve created with this set!!

Yes I did! I made 12 scrapbook layouts with this collection. Since I had two sets of the DSP papers, I had plenty of gorgeous paper to play with. Make sure you check out all the layouts this week!!
