Selecting who my hero would be for this month’s Challenge Yourself Inspiration Challenge was easy. Finding a picture of the two of us together in the midst of moving was a whole other story! Thank goodness for technology! This month’s Challenge YOUrself challenge is an inspiration challenge. The inspiration is Mariah Carey’s song, “Hero”. This is a scrapbooking… Read More »
We all end up with those little strips of that pretty patterned paper we so carefully pick out and agonize over cutting. Those little strips really can add a pop of color to your card with a great layout. This week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch is just such a layout! Isn’t that sentiment fantastic? That is from Catherine… Read More »
This card is almost monochromatic! This week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch felt like a great chance to do something very clean and simple with a couple of new things that I allowed myself to purchase on my little crafting budget. I’m still setting up my new little crafting space so it feels less relaxing than it usually… Read More »
Theme challenges pose more of a challenge for me than a sketch challenge. I decided to combine this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge, which is a theme challenge, with this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. The theme is “Romance”. What stamps do you have that you might use for a romance theme? I was thinking champagne glasses, hearts,… Read More »
Altenew released 12 new ink colors in December and of course I had to add them to my collection! It was such a crazy month first with finishing up at work and retiring, then having a house full of wonderful company for two weeks for the holidays that I never had time to play with them until today!… Read More »
This week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge is a clean and simple sketch and for a change, I decided to stick with that plan! I confess that I got a bit overly zealous with my splatters on this card, but alas…they are always unpredictable! I used Altenew’s Sunlit Butterflies die with two of their new ink colors swooshed onto… Read More »

How many times have you started a new year with a new journal or calendar only to abandon it before the end of the first month? Too many times to count for me. This year I committed by signing up for a class with Ali Edwards and her One Little Word® class. Each month I will get a… Read More »

Merry Christmas my friends! I truly hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. Peaceful, restful and relaxed. (Are those things possible during the holiday season?!) I’m all about making quick cards these days. Thankfully, these days are soon going to be those days when I had no time. Retirement is only 3 more work days away! How sweet it is! For my Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Design Team card this week, I chose to keep my color palette to just white. The sketch… Read More »
